The National Security Sector at Leidos is seeking a talented AFATDS System Specialist to join our team. This is an incredible opportunity to leverage your expertise in support of the Fires Division's Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) and Post-Production Software Support (PPSS) Maintenance and Sustainment mission. We provide essential engineering and technical services to the CECOM Software Engineering Center Mission Command Division.

As a successful candidate, you will play a key role in supporting our customer by enhancing capabilities and delivering technical services in Mission Command, Fires, and C2 Maneuver systems. You will provide critical technical support to the Family of US Army's FIRES Systems, including AFATDS, AN/TQP-53, and LCMR Q49A.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software for various engineering applications.
• Work closely with software developers to identify analytic and interface requirements.
• Assist in testing tools and interfaces effectively.
• Contribute to the design and testing of operating systems-level software and network distribution applications.
• Help establish operational specifications and analyze software requirements.
• Support the design of embedded systems software.
• Analyze user needs and design, test software solutions accordingly.
• Provide troubleshooting support to field units and feedback on reported issues.
• Operate AFATDS and related external interfaces for testing implemented software solutions.
• Generate and execute operational test cases to verify software solutions.
• Maintain and update software specifications, release notes, formal test documentation, and training materials.
• Deliver subject matter expertise at remote locations for formal test events.
• Maintain lab test environments with the currently fielded versions of AFATDS and its external interfaces.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4-8 years of relevant experience with AFATDS.
• US Citizenship is required along with an active and current Secret Clearance.
• Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Engineering or Technical discipline.
• Alternatively, 4 additional years of applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
• Strong knowledge in AFATDS operations and familiarity with associated doctrinal concepts, techniques, tactics, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4 years of previous USMC-focused AFATDS experience.
• 2 years of experience in Agile Development methodologies.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Engineering or Technical discipline.
• Willingness to travel TDY to support development and testing activities.

Pay Range: $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
